Anna lived in a small village by the sea. Every day she worked in a fish shop. She woke up early, cleaned fish, and went home tired. Life was always the same.
One evening, Anna found a strange red envelope on the beach. Inside was a ticket. The ticket was shiny and warm. It said:
“Red Moon Ticket – One free trip to the Moon. Tonight only. 11 o’clock. Come alone.”
Anna laughed. “This is a joke,” she thought. But she put the ticket in her pocket.
That night, the moon was big and red in the sky. Anna looked at her watch – 10:55. She felt excited and a little afraid. She walked to the beach again.
At 11 o’clock exactly, a silver door appeared in the air. It opened with a soft sound. Anna stepped through.
Suddenly, she was on the Moon!
The ground was grey and dusty. The sky was black with millions of stars. Earth was a beautiful blue ball above her head. Anna jumped – she flew high like a bird! She laughed out loud.
A small robot came rolling to her. “Welcome, Anna,” it said in a friendly voice. “I am Luna-9. You have one hour. What do you want to do?”
Anna thought fast. “I want to drive a moon car!”
Luna-9 took her to a garage. They got into a fast silver moon buggy. They raced across the grey land. Dust flew behind them like white smoke. Anna shouted with joy.
Next, Anna said, “I want to see the Earth rise!”
They drove to a big crater. They waited. Slowly, the blue Earth came up over the edge. It was the most beautiful thing Anna had ever seen. She felt tears in her eyes.
“I wish I could stay longer,” Anna said.
Luna-9 gave her a small red stone. “This is a piece of the Moon. Keep it. When you are sad, hold it and remember tonight.”
Time was finished. The silver door appeared again. Anna said goodbye and stepped back to the beach.
The door disappeared. The moon was normal white again.
Anna walked home. In her hand she held the warm red stone.
The next day, she went to the fish shop as usual. But now she smiled at everyone. When people asked why she was so happy, she only said, “I had a good dream.”
Many years later, when Anna was old, she still had the red stone. On quiet nights she looked at the moon and smiled. She knew the Red Moon Ticket was real.
And sometimes, when the moon looks a little red, children in the village find shiny envelopes on the beach…
